Profile
Dr Calvin Park graduated from the University of New South Wales and completed his gastroenterology training at Nepean Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. He has completed further specialty training in gastrointestinal motility disorders and functional GI disorders. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, researching novel therapeutics and investigations for anorectal disorders. Dr Park has presented at both national and international conferences and has published in multiple journals. He is a Conjoint-certified scopist and member of the Australasian Neurogastroenterology and Motility Association and the American Gastroenterology Association.
Dr Park holds accreditation at Sydney Adventist Hospital where he performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and also performs oesophageal manometry (for diagnosis of swallowing disorders), pH/impedance studies (for diagnosis of reflux disorders), and anorectal manometry (for diagnosis of pelvic floor dysfunctions). Dr Park offers patient-focussed care with a strong emphasis on communication.
Research
Dr Calvin Park is currently completing a PhD in the area of investigation and management of anorectal disorders such as faecal incontinence and constipation. He is also currently running a study investigating novel endoscopic anti-reflux procedures at Sydney Adventist Hospital.
