Profile
Dr Mark Liu is a consultant urologist and robotic surgeon. His areas of subspecialty expertise are urological cancers of the kidney, prostate, bladder and adrenal. He is frequently requested to proctor other colleagues in robotic surgery and complex cases. Mark is passionate about minimally invasive surgery and cutting-edge treatments. He also offers the latest treatment options for patients with benign prostatic enlargement and stone disease.
Mark is currently a senior clinical lecturer at the Macquarie University, operates at Macquarie University Hospital and holds public appointments at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2008 and completed internship and residency at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons after six years of surgical training across Australia. During this period, he completed the Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney with a dissertation on the management of renal tumours. He then completed subspecialty fellowships at the world-renowned the Royal Marsden Hospital in London (UK) and the Wake Forest Medical Centre (North Carolina, USA). He was mentored by world-class leaders and pioneers in the field of robotic and cancer surgery. Whilst in America, he was a member of the Urology Faculty and operated as an attending urological surgeon.
